Greg Laskey is a vice president of purchasing at Toyota Motor North America, Inc. (TMNA), located in Saline, Michigan. TMNA supports Toyota’s engineering and manufacturing operations in North America.
Mr. Laskey is responsible for overseeing supplier engineering development, as well as materials and Indirect purchasing. In addition, he heads a dedicated monozukuri group that is tasked with optimizing component part structure and cost.
Prior to his current position, he was a general manager overseeing the procurement of electrical components, electronics, and body stampings for Toyota in North America.
Mr. Laskey previously held several positions within the purchasing division, including management roles in project management, electrical, and electronics. He has also completed two assignments at Toyota’s Global Purchasing Center in Toyota City, Japan.
Mr. Laskey first joined Toyota in 1996 as a parts buyer. Prior to joining Toyota, he held a management position for a Japanese company in the education field (Shizuoka, Japan).
He has an M.B.A in Finance and Operation Management from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) and a B.A. in East Asian Studies & Economics from Union College (Schenectady, NY).
