Organ Cave Exploration

Take a tour of this National Historic Landmark - Organ Cave, which is located 20 minutes from The Greenbrier. The calcite rock formation resembling a large church organ gives the cave and surrounding community its name. First opened in 1822 as a stagecoach stop, Confederate soldiers encamped in the cave; salt-peter was mined here. It opened commercially in 1835. Remember to wear a light jacket and comfortable shoes for your two-mile walk into the cave, which is 62 degrees year-round.

Join a fast-paced, friendly team challenge and jaunt all around The Greenbrier. During this scavenger hunt, your team headed by a captain will find the Treasures of The Greenbrier. There are some interesting twists and turns and everybody will share their explorations when the final clue brings you to home base. The team which completes its search in its entirety wins.

Prizes given to the top five teams.
